Eulogy for Charlie McGurr

We commend this wreath to the deep in memory of Charlie McGurr: a good man, a good friend, a great loss.

That most precious commodity of human perception - that which we call life - Charlie grasped with uncommon enthusiasm. That he died doing something that he liked so well is not to be shamed. We should all be so fortunate.

Those who knew Charlie, loved him. The world will be poorer for his passing.

We feel sorrow for his family. This wreath is a symbol of our grief. It is our promise to keep Charlie's memory alive in our hearts as long as we shall live. He will be with us in spirit forever.
